James Ogilvie was welcomed as the Chair of our Board of Trustees in September 2024.
An experienced and committed walker, James is passionate about our mission to encourage and support everyday walking. His third sector experience includes Directorships of the Woodland Trust and Borders Forest Trust and he has extensive experience of working with Scottish Government politicians and senior officials. A Chartered Forester, James led on social policy for Forestry Commission Scotland (including communities, access, recreation and health).
He is a published author and a grandfather.
