Brendan Paddy

Director

Brendan is Director of Ramblers Scotland. He is a keen hillwalker and regularly leads walks for the Edinburgh Ramblers Family Walks group.

He has a strong interest in the Walking for Health programme, having previously worked on the equivalent programme in England. He is also now overseeing at Ramblers Scotland programmes to create the first ever comprehensive map of Scotland’s paths and to get more 18-26 year-olds more active outdoors.

Prior to moving to Edinburgh, Brendan had a 20 year career in voluntary sector communications in London, where his last job was as Director of Communications at the Disasters Emergency Committee. This included transforming the way the organisation used digital communication tools and platforms. 

Brendan took up the position as a Director of our Board of Trustees in October 2019.
