Paths for All’s Annual General Meeting 2024 was held online. We were delighted to welcome our board and partners to receive our annual accounts, review our 2023-24 achievements and make a new appointment to our Board of Directors.
Presenting the Annual Report, Kevin Lafferty, our Chief Executive Officer, said:
“Paths for All has had another successful year, empowering communities to walk and wheel more. We've supported over 850 regular Health Walks, engaged thousands in Step Count Challenges, and invested in projects to make active travel easier. We saw the impact of the £1.5 million Ian Findlay Paths Fund and are excited to see this continue.
“As we look to the future, we are excited to announce plans for a brand refresh, new messaging, and a revamped website to better reflect our commitment to creating a more active Scotland. We are also exploring innovative ways to deliver our programmes in schools, workplaces, and communities, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of walking and wheeling.
“Thank you to our dedicated staff, volunteers, partners, and supporters who make our work possible. Together, we are stepping up to create a happier, healthier, and greener Scotland.”
During proceedings we were pleased to welcome a new Director and Chair to our Board, James Ogilvie. James is not just an experienced and committed walker himself; he also brings invaluable third sector experience to the role. His previous directorships with the Woodland Trust and Borders Forest Trust, coupled with his extensive experience working with Scottish Government politicians and senior officials, make him an ideal Chair to guide Paths for All towards its vision of a walking nation.
Kevin Lafferty closed the AGM by thanking two board members who are stepping down:
"We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Beth Mukushi and Scott Christie for their invaluable contributions and unwavering support. Their dedication and expertise have been instrumental in shaping Paths for All's success. We wish them all the best in their future endeavors."
