Brendan is Director of Ramblers Scotland and joined our board in October 2019.
He has a strong interest in the Walking for Health programme, having previously worked on the equivalent programme in England. He is also now overseeing at Ramblers Scotland programmes to create the first ever comprehensive map of Scotland’s paths and to get more 18-26 year-olds more active outdoors.
Prior to moving to Edinburgh, Brendan had a 20 year career in voluntary sector communications in London, where his last job was as Director of Communications at the Disasters Emergency Committee. This included transforming the way the organisation used digital communication tools and platforms.
Brendan is a keen hillwalker and also regularly leads walks for the Edinburgh Ramblers Family Walks group.
