The Gardenstown Walking Group, with the help of its trained volunteers, offers a weekly Wednesday morning health walk, meeting at the harbour at 10.30am.
If the weather and underfoot conditions allow, we often take the beautiful cliff-foot path along the coastline from Gardenstown to Crovie. Walks will sometimes go up through the village depending on the abilities of the walkers.
The free walks last up to an hour and finish with a cup of tea or coffee at the Heritage Centre, for which we ask a 50p contribution. Excess money from the refreshments is donated to local charities.
Twice a year we take a trip to do a health walk around the RSPB ‘Troup Head’ Nature Reserve, to see the many different species of seabird. These trips are very much looked forward to and enjoyed by our group.
