The JIC Walking Club delivers a weekly health walk around Fraserburgh, usually taking in the stunning coastline on the outskirts of the town, setting off from St Peter’s Episcopal Church Hall at 11am on a Monday morning.
The JIC Walking Club are a well-established group who are part of the Scottish Health Walk Network.
With the help of walk leaders, the JIC Club is able to run 3 different levels of walk (a low, medium and high level) to cater for all abilities and fitness levels. The walks usually last around one hour, with the option of a cup of tea or coffee in the Hall afterwards.
We are a highly sociable group who offer a number of additional events throughout the year, from Burns suppers’ to day trips away, for which for members give a £1.00 weekly donation. The health walks themselves are free of charge.
The JIC Walking Club, with the help of a trained volunteer, also offer simple exercises before every walk to help build Strength and Balance. We are also Macmillan Friendly accredited, so are able to welcome those who are affected by cancer to join our walks.
Please note that this group is very well attended and could be at full capacity. Please check with Carol that we are accepting new walkers before coming along to a walk.
