The Westhill Walking to Health Group, with the help of trained volunteers, currently offers a weekly health walk on a Wednesday morning, meeting at 10am opposite the community centre.
The Westhill Walking to Health Group are part of the Scottish Health Walk Network.
Our walks are designed to be low level, social, safe and accessible. The walks usually last around one hour, but we will adapt the length and pace of our walks to a level that suits you, with the help of our group of walk leaders. Tea and coffee is available in Trinity Church Hall afterwards.
Our groups aims to be all inclusive, that is accepting of all abilities and able to provide for those with distinct needs. One of our volunteers has completed ‘Disability Inclusion’ training and we are taking part in Grampian Disability Sport's Get Out Get Active (GOGA) project.
We are a Macmillan Friendly accredited project, which enables us to welcome and encourage those affected by cancer to become more active.
We also recently became a Dementia Friendly Accredited Project which means we can support those living with Dementia to join our walks.
