When & Where

Please see the individual walks below for times and locations

I work on the Gypsy Traveller project in North and Mid Argyll. I am a support and Development worker. Supporting with paperwork, form filling, emotional support. I am involved in supporting The Gypsy Traveller Community to engage with local housing association and Argyll and Bute to impalement ' Improving the Lives of Gypsy Travellers' a document put together by the Scottish Government and COSLA. Mental and physical poor health is challenging with in the Travelling Community in my area. There are walking groups locally but TRUST is a big barrier for the Travelling Community. I am keen to help people get out, improve their physical and mental health, with a view of breaking down barriers and building trust and start walking with other local charities which will raise awareness of other support locally that the Travelling Community can tap into. I work a lot with Carers as well as the wider community, for Carers this could be used as a bit of respite if they needed it. We have a cycle track on our door step which will suite all ages and abilities.
