It’s time to put a spring in your step!
No matter what field or position you work in, walking is great for your health and wellbeing, a positive step for business and for greener, quieter and safer communities.
But… why should you take part in the Step Count Challenge?
Duration: the spring challenge runs for a total of eight weeks – Monday 5 May to Sunday 29 June.
Who can join: teams of five from small to large workplaces across Scotland are welcome to take part.
Get active: explore new, fun and sociable ways to walk more in and around the working day.
Friendly competition: log your steps to meet personal goals to walk a little more or aim to climb both your workplace leaderboard and our national rankings.
Health benefits: walking during the working day:
- improves focus, productivity and boosts overall team morale,
- reduces stress, anxiety and staff sickness,
- builds muscle strength, stamina and overall fitness,
- offers a space for creativity, conversation and planning, and…
- reduces your workplace’s carbon footprint making it greener, healthier and happier!
Weekly challenge and activities: we host weekly mini-challenges with themes such as mental and physical health, nature connectedness and community offering you the opportunity to get inventive and have fun!
